Adele Live In London

So this week me and my friend Sally headed down South for an exciting weekend to see Adele live in London! My last post was about our plans and last years trip, so I thought it would only be right to fill you in on what we got up to this time around.

We stayed at the Travelodge at Covent Garden, if anyone is looking for a hotel with a good location, this is it. 5 minutes from the tube station, one of the most popular areas in London, Oxford Street and all the Theatres of the West End. We used the tube to get around during our stay as it was quicker than taxis or buses.

We arrived at 1pm Wednesday, dumped our bags and headed straight for a shop down Oxford Street. Hello Selfridges. We skipped past all the shops we have at home and instead made a beeline for shops we rarely get to shop in as we were a bit strapped for time. If anyone would be interested in a London Haul I could post one in the next couple of weeks? Let me know in the comments! One of the best parts of this speedy shop was finally getting to the IT Cosmetics counter- the Your Skin but better CC Cream is as good as it sounds!

Then we nipped back to ditch our shopping and went for dinner at Zizzis, where I had THE nicest gelato! After that it was onwards to Adele. After the tube to Wembley and an extensive search on arrival, we were in and waiting! She was incredible, she sounded exactly like the CD, if not more powerful. She was funny, had us close to tears, in tears herself and just all round amazing! The night was topped off when the security guards had the whole crowd singing to YMCA and Grease while 98,000 of us waited for the same tube.

We got up extra early and headed for breakfast at Drury Cafe opposite from the hotel, where they had some drool-worthy homemade cakes. I had a pot of tea, some homemade lemon drizzle cake AND a chocolate chip cookie (I just couldn’t choose). Then a spot more shopping ( aka. I went mad in Mango) and a wander round Covent Garden and eventually a browse of a few shops in St Pancras.

Overall we had a really, really nice time, the weather stayed reasonable and Adele stole the show!
