Oooops I did it again (If I channel my inner Britney will you forgive me?). I went quiet over the weekend again, but not without good reason, I’ve been super busy with not one but two birthdays in the last few days!!
First up was my Mum’s on Thursday, just before I finished Uni. We just went for a nice lunch at Zizzi’s (my fave place for pasta) with my Dad and grandparents and then had a little wander around the shops. Like the bad blogger I am I forgot to take any photos of us or the food, my bad. It was a really lovely day, even though we didn’t really get up to much it was nice to spend some time altogether.
I then had a busy weekend working all day Saturday, which I was late leaving from so I had less chance to blog when I returned home. Then on Sunday it was time for a speedy bit of Birthday wrapping and a trip home before Josh’s birthday. He was 21 yesterday! Firstly we went out for a gorgeous meal on Sunday night as his brother Jack was working on his actual birthday. Josh chose Piccolino, another lovely Italian in Sheffield City Centre, I haven’t been there in so long so it was nice to have something a bit different. I chose Garlic Bread to start followed by a huge bowl of Spaghetti Carbonara which I must admit defeated me as there was that much.
We were up bright and early the next morning so that Josh’s Mum could see him open his presents before she went to work. He got some lovely gifts and cards which he opened whilst wearing the ‘birthday garland’ and afterwards we had a nice lazy morning with plenty of cups of tea.
In the afternoon we fancied a little wander and a bite to eat so we drove up to Wentworth Garden Centre, which is one of our favourite places to go for a chilled day out. We had some beautiful cakes and a top notch fish finger sandwich too! The garden centre sells some really nice gifts and food so we also like to have a nosy round the little shops, there’s also an ice rink there at the moment too if you’re taking kids with you. It is also decorated to high heaven ready for Christmas, there were so many twinkly lights, ornaments and Christmas scenes for me to take photos of.
So overall it was a really nice weekend, now I’ve just got 2 more days of work left until I’m finished for Christmas! I just thought I’d give you a little update of what I’ve been up to for the last few days, let me know what you’ve been up to in this final run up to Christmas in the comments below.
