Well, September has rolled around pretty quickly this year. If we blink again it will be Christmas. So today I thought I’d talk you through my September intentions. It’s just going to be a short one, so that I can look back at the end of the month and see how I’ve got on.
I always think September makes me feel reasonably productive, I think it’s the whole back to school thing that does it. However, this year for the first time in nearly two decades, I won’t be going back into education. Each September I have gone back to school or college or university, this year all that is finished. So I thought to keep myself feeling motivated, I’d jot down all my plans for the month.
First of all I’ll be going back to my retail job full time. After my summer spent interning, it means I’ll actually be working one day a week less than I have been. I’ll be going from 6 to 5 days (woohooo) a week. It’s not a massive deal but I’m hoping to get into a new routine and carve out plenty of time to see my friends and crack on with my blogging.
This is my most exciting set of plans for the coming month. I have never set foot in a gym but I want to get fit and feel stronger. My friend Aimee, who’s Pop Pilates class I enjoy, is now doing personal training, so of course I jumped at the chance of being one of her first clients. I’ll be doing two, one hour sessions a week with the aim of getting stronger and feeling more confident in the gym. Aimee runs the Happiness Bootcamp, which is all about feeling healthy both physically and mentally, so I’m feeling super excited to get started!
Carving Out My Niche
My next September intention is to try and carve out my blogging niche a little more. Obviously I can no longer keep churning out University content so I’m no longer a Uni blogger *cries* so now I need to turn my focus onto other things. I want my blog to focus on travel, cruelty-free beauty and a more intentional way of living. That means there may be more focus on sustainability and ethical consumerism coming up on the blog soon. I enjoy talking about topics such as ethical fashion and capsule wardrobes so you may notice more of these types posts creeping in. If you have any ideas about content that you’d like to see, please let me know in the comments below.
These are just a few of the goals I’ve got for the coming month. I’m hoping that in a few weeks time I’ll be feeling positive and stronger thanks to my sessions with Aimee. I’m also hoping I’ll be used to my new work schedule and be up to date and feeling happy with my blogging work.
What are your September intentions? Let me know in the comments below what you’re hoping to achieve this month?
