Podcasts, they’re everywhere. Today I’m going to talk you through the best podcasts for motivation. The following podcasts bring me so much joy and inspiration and I love to listen to them in the car, whilst I’m walking through town or just when I’m pottering about at home. They are a great way to get a little kick up the behind to crack on with any projects you may have been putting off and it’s also nice to hear people discuss topics which interest you.
I actually wrote a post last year about my favourite podcasts, it’s interesting to see how my taste has evolved and which old favourites have stayed at the top of my list. So let’s get started.
At Home With…– Anna Newton and Lily Pebbles
I think this is my fave podcast ever. I talked about it last year when I obsessively listened to season one and this year has been no different. This season Anna and Lily have started doing a more in depth intro section before they talk to each guest which I love as it keeps it feeling current. They have also delved into some interesting topics like motherhood, body image and being a girl boss in addition to talking all things interiors. My favourite guests so far from this series have been Clemmie Hooper (motherofdaughters) and owner of Isle of Paradise tan, Jules Von Hep.
Put Yourself First– Kat Horrocks
This is a great podcast to give you a boost of motivation! Kat and her guests discuss how to thrive in business, the blogosphere and just in general day to day life, whilst also putting yourself first. I love the focus on self-care which is always discussed, Kat likes to ask the guests what one thing they always do to keep themselves feeling good. It’s a great reminder to look after yourself and not to get too stressed out with what everybody else is doing. One of my favourite episodes was one with WeBlogNorth founder Holly Wood, where they discussed blogging as a business alongside body positivity.
Letters From A Hopeful Creative– Sara Tasker and Jen Carrington
I found this because the lovely Kat (from above) recommended it to me and I’m so glad I gave it a listen. Each week Sarah and Jen answer a letter from a hopeful creative and discuss their thoughts around the topic. I find this podcast inspiring because it makes you realise you can do things as a creative if you just push yourself and have a bit of faith. As someone who is keen to continue growing my blog it is really encouraging to hear how other people have achieved success, but also that I’m not alone in having doubts and worries.
How to Curate Your Life– Lizzie Evans
How To Curate your life is all about getting your work life balance right. It’s aimed at creative entrepreneurs but I think you can translate what they’re saying to a lot of different professions. One of the best episodes is with Anna Newton (the host of At Home With…) and there’s also another great one with Liv Purvis. The host, Lizzie Evans is lovely and very easy to listen to and asks the guests all the right questions.
So those are just a few of my suggestions. If you’ve never listened to a podcast, why not use this blog post as a prompt. You can download them for free on your phone and listen to them while you’re offline, making them perfect for plane or train travel. Let me know in the comments below what your favourite podcasts for motivation are- I’m always looking for new suggestions.
