    May Empties

It’s happened again, I’ve accumulated a bag full of empties and I don’t quite know how I’ve managed to use up so much stuff in a month. I swear the shower fairy (deffo Josh) must come and pour my shower gel down the plughole because yet again I have used up FOUR! I suppose it’s a good thing because I’m slowly getting through the box of spare toiletries under my bed and I haven’t had to buy any for ages, so I’m doing well with the whole not buying more thing.   Original Source Lime and Coconut Milk 250ml* I mentioned this one in my April Favourites post because it…

    Empties

So this post is by no means original but I thought I’d join in anyway. Today I thought I’d talk about all the products I’ve used up recently and if I’ve enjoyed using them or would I buy them again. I’ll crack on because there’s quite a few to get through. Liz Earle Botanical Shine Conditioner for Normal Hair 200ml : This conditioner is amazing, I use it alongside the matching shampoo but that just hasn’t run out yet. It has a gorgeous fresh orangey scent which is great if you are a morning shower person, despite this conditioner only being for normal hair as apposed to dry it still works…

    We Had Makeovers!

Slightly random post today, but yesterday me and my best friend Amy (Check out her vlogs)had makeovers courtesy of our lovely MUA friend, Laura! We just let her have a play round with our faces and try some new looks because why not, its fun! She went for opposite looks for each of us. On me she tried a dark grungy, glossy eye. messy brows and bitten lip which is a look I’ve been seeing a lot in magazines recently so was happy to try out. Whereas on Amy she opted for a lighter peach tone look with added freckles (how cute!). I probably wouldn’t wear this entire look on a…

Anti Haul: I Don’t Need It

Recently the Anti Haul has become a bit of a thing (Thank Kimberly Clark), and honestly I think it’s a great idea. As Kimberly would say you need to adopt a policy with yourself of ‘don’t need it, not gonna buy it”. The point being made here and one that I think is very valid is that people feel obliged to buy things because they are frightened of missing out on the latest beauty hype. In an age of YouTube and mass advertising the newest products are seen everywhere, however its important not to forget that these people are often getting paid to talk about or are sent these products…

How Cruel is My Makeup Bag?

This one could take a while to read so get comfy. I’ve been looking into going cruelty free for a while now and I’m proud to say that as far as I know I haven’t purchased any product recently that was tested on animals. So what is cruelty free and what to look out for? Products and brands that are cruelty free do not test on animals, although at some point in human history, they cannot guarantee a specific ingredient was not tested. Some brands are vegan, meaning they do not contain any animal products at all eg. Beeswax, whilst others unfortunately do test on animals. Even more confusing are…
