The Library: Food for the Soul

Looking for somewhere to go out for a date night or a catch up with the girls? Have any of you been to The Library* at Attercliffe recently? I bet at this point you’re wondering what on earth I’m on about. Let me explain. This is in fact a review of one of Sheffield’s newest cafe/ restaurants rather than a ramble about the local library service. Now if you’re from Sheffield, I’m sure you’ve got some opinions about the area of Attercliffe. Known for being a bit rough around the edges, it doesn’t seem the typical place for a new hang out. However Attercliffe is following in the footsteps of…

Say Hello to Pitcher & Piano

We have a very exciting new venue opening in Sheffield this week. Pitcher & Piano opens it’s doors on Friday 19th October and I was lucky enough to get a sneak preview to tell you all about it!* On Tuesday night myself and Josh headed down for a press and blogger night to get to know Sheffield’s newest bar and sample the food and drink menus. Today I want to talk about food. If you know me in person you’ll know I love to eat. If I’m not thinking about food I’m talking about it and if it’s neither of those then I’m eating it. So, for those of you that don’t know, The Devonshire is located on Division Street in Sheffield, so it’s super central…

    Turtle Bay Sheffield Review

So, by now some of you may have noticed the newest restaurant and bar which has popped up in Sheffield City Centre. Turtle Bay has been fully booked almost every night since it opened on 3rd June. It’s in a prime location on Holly Street, just opposite the City Hall, perfect for Friday night cocktails or an impromtu meal. Last month myself and Josh were lucky enough to attend the Turtle Bay Sheffield branch launch event, which was a super fun party featuring live music, cocktails and a chance to sample a few bits off the menu. Since then I’ve been invited back to sample a proper meal with my…

    Forum: Sheffield’s Newest Menu

If you’re from Sheffield, you will know that Division Street is a hub of quirky shops, independent breweries and bars, and if you’re not from Sheffield, then listen up because you are about to learn something new. Last night myself and Amy were lucky enough to be invited along to Division Street, home of Forum, one of Sheffield’s coolest kitchen/bars to try out the new menu, which will be launching in the next couple of weeks (late April). Today I thought I’d share my thoughts on the evening and recommend the menu if you’re a foodie, and/or vegetarian or vegan! Sheffield’s food scene is strong at the moment, especially in…
