The Cabin: The Best Pancakes In Sheffield

I’m putting it out there now, I love pancakes. I love them with ice cream. I love them with fruit or golden syrup. I love scotch pancakes. I love crepes, you get the idea. So when a pancake and waffle house opened in Sheffield I was desperate to visit.¬†You may or may not have heard of The Cabin, which is now potentially one of my favourite places to eat in Sheffield, and most certainly home to the finest pancakes around. Situated, under Atkinsons at the bottom of the Moor, it is in a prime city centre location and I have never seen it not busy so I think that pretty…

    I’m Doing A Dechox (Again)

Today’s post will just be a short one to quickly update you about something that I’m doing throughout the month of March. If some of you have been around for a while, 1 year to be precise, you may remember that last year I took part in the Dechox for the British Heart Foundation. Well I’m doing it again because it’s for such a great cause! I’m giving up chocolate for the whole of March in return for sponsorship for BHF. It’s an amazing charity and they are working to reduce the number of deaths from the UK’s biggest killer, Heart Disease. The charity helps fund research and support for…

The Best Veggie Brunch In Sheffield

This post is only going to be a short one but I just had to share my most recent Sheffield discovery with you! Today I met up with my cousin Katy for a nice brunch/lunch date. We planned to go to Pom Kitchen on Sharrowvale Road in Sheffield, which we have both walked past and thought looked lovely. This is potentially the most aesthetically pleasing cafe I have ever been to and it specialises in Vegan and Vegetarian treats which is amazing for those of you who are plant based. Pom serves an all day breakfast and a normal menu and they also have a specials board. This means that…

    I’ve Been Eating Veggie

Helloooo, long time no speak, I feel like I’m constantly making excuses for why I’ve not blogged, but at least this time I have exams to account for my absence! I’ve been super busy but hopefully this is it now I’m back! Today I wanted to talk a bit about food, I decided that for the first week of January I would attempt to eat vegetarian food for a week and I’ve near enough carried it on up to where we are now! I thought that whilst everyone is participating in Veganuary it would be a good time to try and eat a more vegetable based diet. I spent the…

    Baking Banana Bread

I love baking, I’ve done it with my grandparents since I was a young child and as I am incredibly greedy with a sweet tooth I can’t get enough of it. I’ve baked for school projects, for charity bake days at my Dad’s work and just for the fun of it. Unfortunately at Uni I don’t do it as often as I would like and I have to make do with watching The Great British Bake Off instead. However when Danielle mentioned she had some bananas that were past their best and we realised we both had a free evening we jumped on the chance to bake banana bread! We…
