    My Fitness Journey

I bet you never thought you’d see a fitness post on this blog, I’ll be honest neither did I. However in the last few months I have really started to enjoy exercising and going to the gym. So today I thought I would share with you my fitness journey. I managed the first 21 years of my life without setting foot in a gym. It has been a running joke in my family that I am uncoordinated, lack sporting ability and am generally a sloth. However in the last few months I have really changed my perspective on exercise, and dare I say it, started to enjoy it. Frightened of…

    Can a Haul Be Sustainable?

Today I want to talk about fashion again and I have a bit of a bone to pick. Is there such a thing as an sustainable haul? If you’re a long-time reader you probably know I operate a capsule wardrobe, I try not to buy too many clothes and try to choose ethical and sustainable brands- like this gorg jacket from The Good Life Co*. Being a Dementia Friend: Still Alice Review

Today I want to talk about being a Dementia Friend. I recently went to the theatre to watch Still Alice* and become a Dementia Friend, so today I’m going to tell you all about it. If you follow me on instagram you might have seen my stories talking about the event, but if not let me enlighten you. Still Alice is a story about a woman who gets diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s in her 50’s. The show has moved on from Sheffield now but if you get chance to see it elsewhere you should. The production follows Alice and her family from experiencing the tell-tale signs before her diagnosis…

    The Best Podcasts for Motivation

Podcasts, they’re everywhere. Today I’m going to talk you through the best podcasts for motivation. The following podcasts bring me so much joy and inspiration and I love to listen to them in the car, whilst I’m walking through town or just when I’m pottering about at home. They are a great way to get a little kick up the behind to crack on with any projects you may have been putting off and it’s also nice to hear people discuss topics which interest you. I actually wrote a post last year about my favourite podcasts, it’s interesting to see how my taste has evolved and which old favourites have…

    Door 43- Self Care Clothing

Today I’m going to talk about an important subject and how you can help out. Mental health is a very prominent issue which is not always addressed as seriously as it should be. We’re happy to sign a cast on a broken arm, and we’re quick to send a get well soon card when someone is diagnosed with a physical illness, so why as a society are we so reluctant to accept mental illness in this same manner? Luckily in Sheffield we have a fantastic service available to young people aged 13-25, called Door 43. Door 43 is a new project launched by Sheffield Futures to provide support to young…
