    February Favourites 2019 | AD

I haven’t been doing a favourites post every month for a while now, I did a 2018 overall favourites but I’m not tying myself to doing them religiously. However this past month I’ve had a few February favourites so I thought it might be nice to share them with you. The Worst Witch (AD- Gifted) At the start of the month myself and my friend Sally headed to the Sheffield Lyceum to catch a performance of The Worst Witch. I loved these books when I was a kid, Mildred Hubble is the worst witch that has ever attended Miss Cackles Academy for Witches. The show, particularly the staging, was so…

The Full Monty Review | AD

Earlier this week I headed across to Manchester with my Mum to see the touring production of The Full Monty at the Manchester Opera House. SPOILER ALERT- They did not leave their hats on! We were kindly gifted the tickets for the opening night in Manchester and were thoroughly impressed with the show. Thanks to WeBlogNorth for organising! As it’s a touring production it’s going to be visiting plenty of venues across the UK, so you can keep an eye out for tickets! Travel In terms of getting there I’d recommend flying unless of course you live over towards the ferry ports. We flew from Manchester airport and just about got there okay considering the…

    January Book Reviews

One of my main goals for 2019 is to read 20 books, I think it’s manageable and I’ve got off to a good start. I thought I’d do some January book reviews to give you all an idea of what I’ve been reading, and listening to on audible, and if I have any recommendations for you. I won’t give away any spoilers but I’ll just outline the gist and my thoughts on each book in turn- plus the all important rating! Becoming- Michelle Obama I’m sure a lot of you have this on your reading list for this year as it was a very popular gift at Christmas time. I…

    Am I Sustainable Enough?

I’m going all out and asking the big question today. Am I sustainable enough? With everything that’s going on in the world it seems like there is an overwhelming pressure to do more to be green, but is it ever enough? The issue seems to be that there are too many issues to tackle at once. If i’m not worrying about plastic pollution, i’m worrying about fast fashion, if it’s not that, it’s food waste etc. etc. It goes on and on, and the more your eyes are opened to these issues the more overwhelming it becomes. So for my own piece of mind, and maybe to inspire some of…
