    2019 Goals

This year rolled around pretty quickly and we’re already over a week into January, I sense another speedy year like 2018. Today I thought I would jot down my 2019 goals and aspirations for the upcoming year. I don’t like setting new years resolutions and I certainly won’t be beating myself up about not reaching certain targets. I see goal setting as more of a way to help myself check in periodically through the year. I’m going to lay out a few hopes I have for myself in the coming months, then I can look back and see if I need to refocus my attention as the months go by.…

The Library: Food for the Soul

Looking for somewhere to go out for a date night or a catch up with the girls? Have any of you been to The Library* at Attercliffe recently? I bet at this point you’re wondering what on earth I’m on about. Let me explain. This is in fact a review of one of Sheffield’s newest cafe/ restaurants rather than a ramble about the local library service. Sustainable Christmas Gift Guide

I won’t lie, at this point I’m starting to resent this blog post, because having written it all, it then decided to delete itself…twice! However I think it’s an important point so I am persevering to bring you a sustainable Christmas Gift Guide. So you might have noticed all the Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals which have been floating around recently *read- bombarding your inbox*. These sales have essentially been trying to make us buy more and more stuff we don’t need. Consuming all this extra stuff is very unsustainable and often leads you to buy things you don’t need. Granted you’ll be wanting to buy people Christmas presents…

    Matilda The Musical Review

Matilda. It’s a story we all know and love, The Trunchbull is infamous and we all know the old “I’m right and you’re wrong, I’m big and you’re small, and there’s nothing you can do about it” line. How then, does this beloved Roald Dahl classic translate to the stage as Matilda the Musical? This week I was invited along to The Palace Theatre in Manchester with some fellow WeBlogNorth members to to watch Matilda The Musical*. The show is currently on it’s UK tour and is midway through it’s stint in Manchester, which began back in September and draws to a close on November 24th- so if you like the…
