How To Prep Your Wardrobe For Autumn

I think we can all agree that Autumn is well and truly in the air. We are having the odd burst of sunshine but the rain is creeping in and there’s a definite chill in the morning. So today I thought I’d talk about how to prep your wardrobe for Autumn. I am a wardrobe organisation junkie. I bloody love changing it up season by season, so I’ve been quick to get sorting it out. If you are a long term reader you probably know that I try to operate a capsule wardrobe system, which means I swap out my clothes by season. I also try to limit my buying,…

    The Best Podcasts for Motivation

Podcasts, they’re everywhere. Today I’m going to talk you through the best podcasts for motivation. The following podcasts bring me so much joy and inspiration and I love to listen to them in the car, whilst I’m walking through town or just when I’m pottering about at home. They are a great way to get a little kick up the behind to crack on with any projects you may have been putting off and it’s also nice to hear people discuss topics which interest you. I actually wrote a post last year about my favourite podcasts, it’s interesting to see how my taste has evolved and which old favourites have…

    Door 43- Self Care Clothing

Today I’m going to talk about an important subject and how you can help out. Mental health is a very prominent issue which is not always addressed as seriously as it should be. We’re happy to sign a cast on a broken arm, and we’re quick to send a get well soon card when someone is diagnosed with a physical illness, so why as a society are we so reluctant to accept mental illness in this same manner? Luckily in Sheffield we have a fantastic service available to young people aged 13-25, called Door 43. Door 43 is a new project launched by Sheffield Futures to provide support to young…

    September Intentions

Well, September has rolled around pretty quickly this year. If we blink again it will be Christmas. So today I thought I’d talk you through my September intentions. It’s just going to be a short one, so that I can look back at the end of the month and see how I’ve got on. I always think September makes me feel reasonably productive, I think it’s the whole back to school thing that does it. However, this year for the first time in nearly two decades, I won’t be going back into education. Each September I have gone back to school or college or university, this year all that is…

What I’ve Been Reading This Year

Today I thought I’d talk you through what I’ve been reading this year. I’ve been a bookworm from a very young age, and I don’t think that will ever change. This year, one of my goals was to read 20 books, I’ve so far read 13 so I’d say I’m reasonably on track. When I recently mentioned the possibility of some reviews, a few of you seemed keen, so here you go. I’m not going to talk about every single book I’ve read so far because that might get a bit much. So here are the ones that have stuck out recently. Everything I Know About Love- Dolly Alderton This book…
