    Spring Capsule Wardrobe Update

I mentioned in my March To Do List post that one of my aims for the month was to sort out my Spring Capsule Wardrobe. So far I’ve done anĀ Autumn and Winter Capsule which have both worked reasonably well. There have been some stand out pieces in both of these which have kept me cosy and warm in the harsh British weather, and I didn’t find it too difficult to transition from one to the other, as all I needed were a couple of bits of knitwear. However the change from Winter to Spring is much more apparent. Although the weather is not yet boiling, it is certainly set to…

    10 x 10 Wardrobe Challenge Update

So you might remember my recent post in which I said I was going to attempt to do the 10 x 10 wardrobe challenge. The challenge essentially means selecting 10 items of clothing, including shoes and coats, and wearing only those items over the course of 10 days. So I’m back today to let you know how I got on with it. I did myself a massive favour by choosing items that I really love to wear so I didn’t find myself particularly avoiding anything and I think they all paired together reasonably well so I could get a bit of variety. There was one stand out piece that I…

    We’re Going To Rome

As I’m sure you can imagine, I’m very excited to be writing this blog post, the title is a bit of a give away as to why! I mentioned in my recent post that myself and Josh were planning to book our holiday to Rome soon, and a couple of nights ago we did just that. We parked ourselves in front of Expedia and scrolled through pages of flights and hotels until we found the perfect holiday. The most exciting thing? The week we’ve chosen means I’ll be spending my 21st birthday in Rome, I can’t think of anywhere I’d rather be! Obviously the actual booking has been sorted but…

    10 x 10 Wardrobe Challenge

By now you are likely to have picked up on my ramblings about capsule wardrobes and that I’ve been trying to implement my own over the last 6 months or so. The idea is that most items in my wardrobe go together, the choice is less overwhelming and I buy less and only what I need as the seasons change. Pretty simple right? Well I thought I would challenge myself even further over the next couple of weeks. I’ve decided to attempt the 10×10 challenge which was originally started by Style Bee. The concept is to select 10 pieces from your wardrobe which you think work together and wear only…

Winter Capsule Wardrobe Update | Blogmas Day 2

So as some of you may remember I decided that I was going to attempt a capsule wardrobe earlier on this year. The basic premise is that you swap out your clothes seasonally so that they are weather appropriate (and so you don’t get bored of them) and you try to reduce your shopping. These swaps happen every 3 months when the seasons turn, then if there are some pieces missing from your wardrobe you can add things in accordingly but within reason. I saw the largest increase in shopping between Summer and Autumn where there is the biggest drop in temperature, I realised I had no jumpers that were…
