    Learn A New Skill

We are told throughout life that it is important and good for us to master new things and learn a new skill. This has become especially apparent to me in my final year of University. You learn new social skills at Uni without even realising, because you are forced to make friends with a bunch of unfamiliar people and not only that, you have to learn to live with them. I’m Doing A Dechox (Again)

Today’s post will just be a short one to quickly update you about something that I’m doing throughout the month of March. If some of you have been around for a while, 1 year to be precise, you may remember that last year I took part in the Dechox for the British Heart Foundation. Well I’m doing it again because it’s for such a great cause! I’m giving up chocolate for the whole of March in return for sponsorship for BHF. It’s an amazing charity and they are working to reduce the number of deaths from the UK’s biggest killer, Heart Disease. The charity helps fund research and support for…

Frost/Nixon: A Night At The Theatre

So last night myself and Danielle headed to the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield to go and see their latest production, Frost/Nixon! The lovely Ellie who works there invited me and my plus one over for a blogger event with some other local Sheffield Bloggers. We began the night with a Frosty Nixon cocktail or two made by the guys over at Crucible Corner¬†¬†before the show. I couldn’t believe how much I liked a cocktail that contained gin, vodka, tequila AND rum (I usually hate 3/4 of those spirits)! When we arrived we found they’d thrown us an entire 70’s party, disco ball and everything! They had the best playlist I’ve…

    February Favourites

With the end of February drawing near, I’m hoping that Spring may finally be in the air- it’s about time we had some warmer weather instead of the relentless biting cold. I’ve managed to accumulate a few favourites over the past few weeks, although admittedly not as many as January, but then again it is a shorter months so I suppose that’s to be expected. Not to mention I’ve spent the last couple of weeks glued to my laptop, a slave to my degree, so that really cuts down on the time to find new things I like. First up, a foodie favourite! I’ve had the Tanya Bakes book by…
