How To Support Small Businesses and Freelancers

Today I thought I would put together a list of ways you can support small businesses and freelancers from your home during this difficult time. I’m sure it hasn’t escaped your notice that we are nearing a full lock down, and this time looks uncertain for businesses. Unfortunately, for lots of small businesses and freelancers it will be very difficult to survive financially in the current climate. However there are things you can do to support independents to keep their business ticking over. Buy a Gift Voucher from a Small Business This situation is really taking it’s toll on the leisure and hospitality industries and it will be difficult for…

A Day In York | Blogmas Day 5

Yesterday, myself, Amy, Abi and Danielle headed off for our annual Christmas Shopping Trip to York! We had a lovely afternoon pottering around the Shambles looking in all the shops and of course stopping for food! As it’s only an hour away on the train it’s a nice alternative to shopping in Meadowhall and a lot more festive with all the lights and live music being played in the streets. Side note it’s probably cheaper to get the train than to park your car and then you can have a mulled wine at the Christmas Market- so plan that as you wish! Winter Capsule Wardrobe Update | Blogmas Day 2

So as some of you may remember I decided that I was going to attempt a capsule wardrobe earlier on this year. The basic premise is that you swap out your clothes seasonally so that they are weather appropriate (and so you don’t get bored of them) and you try to reduce your shopping. A Night At Joe Browns | Blogmas Day 1

Okay so it’s officially Christmas, the Advent Calendars are out, Blogmas has started, I went to Tesco this morning and people were whistling Christmas songs, Amy is burning her Christmas Memories Yankee Candle and it smells like bliss. December 1st, I bloody love you. So last night I was invited down to the new Joe Browns Store in Meadowhall for a blogger event to have a look round the new store and get a feel for the brand. Today I thought I’d talk a little bit about what we got up to, what the brand is about and all that there is to see in store so you can have…

    An 18th Birthday

This is just a little post today, hopefully I’ll get back to being able to post more thought out content but for now exam season is in full swing and this is all I’ve got- bare with me. So yesterday was my cousin Alice’s 18th birthday and we had a really really nice day out. In total 7 of us and a baby headed to Leeds to celebrate by shopping till we dropped and obviously the occasional pit stop for food. Before I go on to talk more about our antics I just want to say that I’m so proud of Alice and everything she has achieved. She may have…
