Cruelty-Free, Vegan and Organic- What does it all mean?

You might hear the words Cruelty-free, vegan and organic thrown around a lot these days but what do they actually mean? They now adorn plenty of packaging, but do we as consumers really understand the labels? Today I thought I’d unpick what it all means and how to start being more environmentally conscious when buying beauty products.  What does it all mean?  So let’s start with Cruelty-Free. This means a product has not been tested on animals during it’s production. These products are often marked with a leaping bunny symbol meaning they are accredited as 100% cruelty-free.  Next, Vegan. Summer Skincare Routine

Skincare routines are nothing new to the blogosphere, I’ve read about a dozen myself just this year. However today I thought I’d throw my current summer skincare routine into the mix, because I love to read about what products work for different skin types. Not every product will suit every person, so I like to hear suggestions from other people who have dry skin. I’m going to discuss which products I use in the morning and which I leave for night time. Green People Suncare

We all know it’s important to stay protected from the sun and that we should wear SPF but how many of us actually do it when we aren’t on holiday? I can honestly hold my hand up and say I’ve never been one to apply an SPF as part of the skin care routine whilst in the UK, unless it’s already incorporated into my moisturiser. When Green People got in touch I was super keen to work with them to help promote…

    Holiday Empties

So as you know, I like to keep track of my empties, which products I have been using up over the previous weeks/months and what I thought about them. Today I thought it might be cool to talk about just the holiday empties which I acquired. I recently went away to Lanzarote for two weeks with my family and Josh, now that’s a decent amount of time so I did expect that I would be able to finish some products up. Some are a little different to my usual choices, because no one wants to take their most expensive products away with them, in case you have to leave them…

Glossier Is It Still Worth The Hype?

Okay so last year Glossier took the UK by storm. We had been waiting for months and it finally came after months and months of longing for what was already loved over the pond. I will admit I was on the site at 8am the day of the UK launch, I had my list, I knew what I wanted and my basket was full by 8.04am. So clearly the hype was huge, now around 6 months after the UK launch I’m going to discuss whether I think Glossier is still worth the hype. The thing is about Glossier is that we were all forced, in the UK, to buy based…
