How To Prep Your Wardrobe For Autumn

I think we can all agree that Autumn is well and truly in the air. We are having the odd burst of sunshine but the rain is creeping in and there’s a definite chill in the morning. So today I thought I’d talk about how to prep your wardrobe for Autumn. I am a wardrobe organisation junkie. I bloody love changing it up season by season, so I’ve been quick to get sorting it out. If you are a long term reader you probably know that I try to operate a capsule wardrobe system, which means I swap out my clothes by season. I also try to limit my buying,…

    Lanzarote Lookbook

So you may or may not know but I have spent the last two weeks, trying, and failing, to get a tan in sunny Lanzarote. It was a thoroughly enjoyable family holiday including lots of beer, dissertation work, good food and good people. So today I thought I would share with you some of my outfits from the trip, a mixture of day and night attire that might give you some inspiration if you happen to be going away soon, a Lanzarote Lookbook if you like. I’d also like to say a quick thanks to my various photographers on this trip, Josh, Mum, Alice, Ellis, Grandad you absolute gems. So…

    Spring Capsule Wardrobe Update

I mentioned in my March To Do List post that one of my aims for the month was to sort out my Spring Capsule Wardrobe. So far I’ve done anĀ Autumn and Winter Capsule which have both worked reasonably well. There have been some stand out pieces in both of these which have kept me cosy and warm in the harsh British weather, and I didn’t find it too difficult to transition from one to the other, as all I needed were a couple of bits of knitwear. However the change from Winter to Spring is much more apparent. Although the weather is not yet boiling, it is certainly set to…

    10 x 10 Wardrobe Challenge

By now you are likely to have picked up on my ramblings about capsule wardrobes and that I’ve been trying to implement my own over the last 6 months or so. The idea is that most items in my wardrobe go together, the choice is less overwhelming and I buy less and only what I need as the seasons change. Pretty simple right? Well I thought I would challenge myself even further over the next couple of weeks. I’ve decided to attempt the 10×10 challenge which was originally started by Style Bee. The concept is to select 10 pieces from your wardrobe which you think work together and wear only…

A Week in Outfits: No Jeans Edition | Blogmas Day 4

Happy Monday people, today for Blogmas I thought I’d share with you a week in outfits. I’ve done one of these before but you my remember it was mostly jeans and a jumper as I’m not very adventurous. So this time I thought I’d attempt a no jeans edition- no jeans for a whole week!! Anyone that knows me will be aware I live in my jeans and comfy knitwear so this was sure to be a task and I managed to pick the coldest week of the year so far to attempt this little fashion challenge. However in an attempt to be adventurous I’ve accidentally worn the same style…
