    Am I Sustainable Enough?

I’m going all out and asking the big question today. Am I sustainable enough? With everything that’s going on in the world it seems like there is an overwhelming pressure to do more to be green, but is it ever enough? The issue seems to be that there are too many issues to tackle at once. If i’m not worrying about plastic pollution, i’m worrying about fast fashion, if it’s not that, it’s food waste etc. etc. It goes on and on, and the more your eyes are opened to these issues the more overwhelming it becomes. However these items are often poor quality, get thrown away after only a few wears and they also have a damaging impact to many people’s lives that we don’t see. Many large chains use sweat shops in less economically developed countries. Factory employees, work long hours for low pay and often in poor conditions. Low labour costs and…

    Sustainable Mother’s Day Gifts

So with Mother’s Day fast approaching us this Sunday, I decided that today I would post a last minute gift guide with some thought behind it. So I’ve put together a sustainable Mother’s Day guide. Obviously we all want to treat our Mum’s to something nice for all that they do for us, but often people struggle to find that perfect gift. Working in retail I have seen the last minute panic where people will just buy anything for the sake of giving a gift, when in actual fact said present might not even be to their Mum’s taste. The suggestions I’m giving today are all sustainable and ethical and…
